MTV VMAs: Shakira pours curves into wildly low backless 'revenge' dress

If there was an MTV VMA for the best revenge dress, it would definitely go to Shakira. The Hips Don’t Lie singer stunned on the red carpet as she debuted the revenge dress of all revenge dresses. Go girl!

The 46-year-old music icon recently went through a public breakup with her long-term partner Gerard Piqué. In Januarary, the former Spanish footballer went ‘Insta official’ with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. Shakira then released the track TQG with Karol G, with the lyrics: “Seeing you with the new one hurt me.” However, it looks like the Beautiful Liar singer is the one shining now at the MTV VMAs.

Everything that glitters definitely is gold in this, case. Stealing the limelight from performers at the MTV VMAs on the red carpet, Shakira, stunned in a gold Versace chainmail dress.

The sidecut outs and thigh-high leg split turned heads on the carpet, as the music star showed off her undeniably perfect figure.

As if the front wasn’t gorgeous enough, the star definitely proved that less certainly is more, as the dress came with an entirely open back.

She turned her effortlessly curly locks to the side so cameras, and fans, could get a better look at the staggering dress.

As well as her stunning dress, Shakira also made history at the MTV award show as she became the first South American artist to be graced with the Video Vanguard Award.

Shakira’s sons stole the show

It wasn’t just her revenge dress that stole the spotlight, but also, her adorable kids.

The Waka Waka singer had her two sons, Milan and Sasha, who she co-parents with ex-partner Gerard Piqué made a rare appearance as they joined their mother on the red carpet.

Sparkling just like their mother, the boys adorably twinned in matching gold tracksuits, as they proudly watched their mother collect the prestigious award.
